About this file
This is an Addendum to a Request for Bid issued by the State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation for Custodial Care and Landscape Maintenance Services at the Sparta Safety and Weight Enforcement Facility (SWEF), located in Monroe County on Interstate 90 eastbound near mile marker 22. The original bid number is 510037, and this addendum was issued on August 29, 2017. A mandatory pre-bid conference and facility walkthrough was scheduled for Wednesday, August 23, 2017 at 10:00 AM. The revised bid submission deadline, adjusted due to a holiday, is Thursday, September 7, 2017 at 2:00 PM CST. The facility comprises 11,846 total square feet, with the inspection building portion containing 5,928 square feet.
The addendum provides detailed clarifications regarding service responsibilities and consumable provisions. WisDOT will supply paper products, cleaning supplies, hand soap, de-icing salt, water softener salt, filters, mop heads, floor scrubber pads, disinfectant, mirror cleaner, and light bulbs, with the contractor responsible for verifying shipments and stocking supplies. The contractor must provide all other tools and equipment including vacuum cleaners, cloths, sponges, brooms, power washers, floor scrubbers, mop buckets, gloves, and toilet brushes. Snow removal requirements specify removal after successive 3-inch accumulations, with WisDOT handling salting for snow less than 1 inch and during ice storms. Lawn watering is required as needed. A separate holding tank manages oil and grease from the inspection bay, and contractors may store snow blowers in Room 113 during winter months and lawn mowers during summer months only.
