About this file

This document is Addendum No. 1 for a Weed Mitigation Request for Proposals (RFP #506198) issued by Denver Water, addressing key clarifications and questions related to the project. The addendum, posted on October 16, 2024, provides detailed responses to proposer inquiries, including specific guidelines for chemical usage, drone operations, site conditions, and project timeline. The contract is set to begin on May 1, 2025, following the conclusion of the current agreement on April 30, 2025, with a focus on noxious weed management at various Denver Water facilities.

The addendum reveals critical operational parameters for potential contractors, specifically prohibiting the use of glyphosate and polyethoxylated chemicals. Drone usage will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis and is not permitted in restricted areas. The project includes access to water at Denver Water facilities for equipment tank filling, and involves working at locations such as the Ralston site and Dillon Dam, which has a face length of approximately 550 feet. The document provides clarity on chemical restrictions, equipment usage, and site-specific conditions, which will be essential for proposers preparing their submissions for the weed mitigation contract.
