About this file
This Sources Sought Notice is for a private market data subscription for the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), seeking a comprehensive data platform with specific requirements. The subscription must provide access to a web-based research platform and data delivery via either SFTP or API, covering U.S. private and acquired companies' market data dating back to 1980, including detailed information on companies, deals, investors, founders, financing transactions, fund performance, and exit terms. Key technical requirements include enterprise access for SEC staff, ability to export data via Excel Add-In, support for searching and filtering companies/deals/people, and robust privacy safeguards.
The SEC is conducting market research to identify potential vendors with existing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) subscription products that meet these requirements. Respondents must submit a summary/cover letter, product description, sample reports, accompanying data, and price estimates with separate pricing for data subscription and web platform (for 10-20 users) for a base year and minimum two option years. Responses are due by 3:00 PM EDT on June 30, 2025, with questions accepted until June 18, 2025. The notice emphasizes this is not a formal solicitation and does not guarantee a contract award, serving purely as market research to understand available solutions.
