About this file

This is Addendum #2 to an Invitation for Bids (IFB) issued by Grambling State University's Purchasing Department for residential life kitchenette renovations across three dormitory buildings (Douglass Hall, Robinson Hall, and Wheatley Hall) under IFB 50018-270002. The addendum provides approved specifications and clarifications to the original contract documents. Key modifications include approval of AFX as an acceptable manufacturer for ceiling light fixtures, specifically the Eon Round LED Surface Mount Disc Light (EONF Series), which features edge-lit technology, adjustable color temperature (2700K to 5000K), and various wattage options (7W to 28W). The addendum also clarifies that required vent piping for new sinks at both dormitory buildings shall be installed exposed on the exterior walls, penetrating as high as possible, with all exposed PVC piping painted to match existing brick color. A Fire Marshal Release for the Robinson Hall kitchenette interior renovation project (AR-26-019967) is attached as reference, indicating the project is classified as an alteration involving a 300 square foot area with an estimated cost of $50,000 and construction type V-B/V classification.

The Fire Marshal's review documentation indicates the project includes a sprinkler system and fire alarm system within a university/college renovation context. The AFX light fixture specifications detail multiple catalog options available in black, white, or satin nickel finishes, with cETLus listing and Title 24/JA8 compliance for wet location indoor use and covered ceiling mount outdoor applications. Fixtures include a five-year limited warranty covering defects in materials and workmanship. The addendum was issued on August 20, 2026, by Erin Walker, Director of Purchasing at Grambling State University, and incorporates these specifications and clarifications into the binding contract documents for all bidders.
