About this file

This document is a minimum insurance requirements specification for Broward County's Solid Waste and Recycling Services division for a Propane Gas Reclamation and Tank Recycling project. The document outlines mandatory insurance coverage requirements that contractors must maintain, including general liability insurance with combined bodily injury and property damage coverage of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, auto liability coverage of $1,000,000 for combined bodily injury and property damage, workers' compensation at statutory limits, and employer's liability coverage of $1,000,000 per accident. Additional coverage types specified include excess/umbrella liability, pollution/environmental liability with a maximum $10,000 deductible, and professional liability for engineering and design professionals.

The insurance requirements establish Broward County as an additional insured party, with the contractor's insurance providing primary coverage without requiring contribution from the County's self-insurance program. Waiver of subrogation applies in favor of Broward County, and for claims-made policies, insurance must be maintained with evidence provided for at least three years after contract completion. The certificate holder is designated as Broward County at 115 South Andrews Avenue, Fort Lauderdale, Florida 33301, with oversight by the Risk Management Division. The document is digitally signed by Colleen Pounall dated August 1, 2023.
