About this file
This is a minimum insurance requirements document for Broward County Water and Wastewater Services related to the purchase and delivery of electric utility carts. The project involves the procurement of one 2027 Club Car Tempo 2+2 electric lead acid cart and three 2027 Club Car Carryall 700 electric carts for the County's Operations Fleet Department located in Pompano Beach, Florida. No proof of insurance is required if delivery will be conducted by common carrier.
The insurance requirements establish that Broward County must be named as the certificate holder and additional insured. Vendors must obtain general liability coverage with minimum limits of $1,000,000 per occurrence and $2,000,000 aggregate, including broad form commercial general liability, premises-operations, explosion/collapse/underground, products/completed operations, contractual liability, and independent contractors coverage. Auto liability coverage of $1,000,000 combined bodily injury and property damage is required if applicable to the performance of services, though this may be waived if no driving is involved. Workers' compensation coverage at statutory limits, employers' liability coverage of $100,000 per accident, and pollution/environmental liability with a maximum deductible of $10,000 per claim are also mandated. The vendor's insurance must provide primary coverage, include a waiver of subrogation in favor of Broward County, and maintain coverage for at least three years after contract completion for claims-made policies. The County must receive 30 days' written notice of cancellation or 10 days' notice for non-payment.
