About this file
The document is a Minority, Women, and Small Business Enterprise (MWSBE) Utilization Form for the City of Charlotte, specifically related to a Charlotte Water project for dewatering and cleaning wastewater treatment plant digesters. The form requires proposing companies to outline their commitment to including City-certified Small Business Enterprises (SBE), Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE), and Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) in the contract process. Companies must document their outreach efforts to maximize MWSBE inclusion both during the proposal submission and throughout the contract period.
The form provides space for companies to self-identify their MWSBE status, list certification details, and specify subcontractors with their respective business classifications. Companies are required to calculate and report total utilization percentages for MBE, WBE, SBE, and combined MWSBE participation. The document emphasizes the city's strong commitment to inclusive contracting practices and encourages vendors to actively seek and engage with certified minority, women, and small businesses when submitting proposals for municipal projects.
