About this file

This is a Unit Price Bid Schedule for a construction project issued by the State of Utah, Division of Facilities Construction and Management (DFCM), for parking improvements at the Matheson Court Building located at 500 South Ada in Salt Lake City, Utah (Project No. 27009150). The project encompasses removal of existing landscape areas and construction of an ADA-compliant handicap parking facility. The scope of work includes 42 line items covering demolition and removal activities (concrete slabs, sidewalks, curb and gutter, electrical infrastructure, irrigation systems, and street lighting); excavation and grading; installation of new infrastructure (PVC conduit, electrical pull boxes, concrete foundations, and street lighting relocation); material supply and installation (aggregate base course, concrete sidewalk, bituminous pavement, curb and gutter, traffic striping, landscape rock, and sod); and ancillary services (traffic control, permitting, construction survey staking, and irrigation system reinstallation). Quantities range from single items to substantial volumes, including 1,537 square feet of new sidewalk area, 2,611 square feet of asphalt pavement, and 1,311 square feet of landscape rock installation.

Bidding is restricted to contractors prequalified under DFCM's Stage I Prequalification process and currently listed on the DFCM Prequalified Contractors list as of the solicitation date. The project operates on a unit price basis for most items with several lump sum components, with payment covering only work actually performed and materials supplied at bid unit prices, regardless of quantity approximations provided in the bid documents. The construction cost estimate is $297,000.00, and actual quantities may vary from the stated estimates without triggering claims for variation, as the owner retains the right to deviate in either direction from indicated quantities. All bid prices must include labor, materials, and incidental work necessary for complete project execution per contract document specifications.
