About this file

This is a Public Contract Boycott Restriction Statement attachment for an Invitation for Bid (IFB) issued by Jordan School District in Utah for the procurement of a Palo Alto Firewall with 3-Year License and Support. The document serves as a certification form that vendors must submit with their bid responses to confirm compliance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) regarding public contract boycott restrictions. All bidders are required to certify that they are not currently engaged in economic boycotts or boycotts of the State of Israel and must agree to maintain this compliance throughout the contract term if awarded.

Vendors executing this statement acknowledge their obligation to refrain from boycotting the State of Israel, companies engaged in traditional energy, mining, or agriculture activities, firearms manufacturers and distributors, companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable regulations, and companies that do not provide access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. Vendors must sign the certification form with printed name and date, and are obligated to immediately notify the public entity in writing if they engage in any prohibited boycott activities during the contract period. This document is a mandatory submission requirement for all bid responses to the Palo Alto Firewall procurement.

PUBLIC CONTRACT BOYCOTT RESTRICTION STATEMENT

(This document to be submitted with bid response)

In accordance with Utah Code 63G-27 (S.B. 97) Public Contract Boycott Restrictions, vendors contracting with the Jordan School District to provide any good or service, including supplies, information technology, or construction services, must certify they are not currently engaged in an “economic boycott” nor a “boycott of the State of Israel” as those terms are defined in that Code section. Vendors must also agree not to engage in either boycott for the duration of the contract (if awarded). For example, a vendor may not, without an ordinary business purpose, boycott: the State of Israel; companies engaged in activities related to traditional energy, mining, or agriculture; companies engaged in the manufacture, distribution, sale, or use of firearms;

companies that do not meet environmental standards beyond applicable state and federal laws;

or companies that do not facilitate access to abortion or sex characteristic surgeries. If a vendor does engage in such a boycott, it must immediately notify the public entity party to the contract in writing.

We agree to comply with the above statement during the entire contract period.
