About this file
The SABER Design Intent Drawing Set is a comprehensive document outlining design requirements for a construction project at Nellis Air Force Base, specifically for constructing a Visitor Control Center (Building B697). The document provides detailed guidance for two levels of design submittals (Level 1 and Level 2), covering multiple engineering disciplines including civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and telecommunications.
The design intent drawings specify precise requirements for each discipline, including general notes, symbol lists, floor plans, equipment schedules, system layouts, utility connections, grounding plans, and detailed technical specifications. Each discipline's drawings progressively increase in complexity from Level 1 (basic conceptual design) to Level 2 (more detailed and technically specific design), providing contractors with comprehensive guidance for design development. The document includes example drawings demonstrating the expected level of detail and information for each design discipline, ensuring consistent and thorough design documentation for the construction project at Nellis Air Force Base.
