About this file

This document is an Amendment with Contractor Questions and Responses for a Request for Quote (RFQ) for engine lathes issued by the Air Force Life Cycle Material Command (AFLCMC). The solicitation (Number 47QSWC25Q0104) is a small business set-aside, firm-fixed price supply contract for nine engine lathes to be purchased in a single, one-time procurement across eight different shipping destinations, including three overseas locations in Okinawa and Qatar.

Key details include shipping instructions specifying that contractors will ship equipment to designated U.S. port locations, with the government assuming transportation responsibility beyond the port. All shipping costs up to port delivery must be included in the quoted price. The technical specifications allow for substitute lathe products that meet or exceed the minimum requirements outlined in Section C of the RFQ. Contractors are required to complete a DD 1149 form and obtain a Transportation Control Number before shipping to aerial ports. The procurement is being conducted under FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Part 12 for commercial products and services.
