Amendment 0004 WMATOC Solicitation No.47PL0123R0035
Contractor RFI and Responses
1. On the SF 1442 for the Seed Project that was issued in Amendment 1 has it marked in Block 13 that a guarantee is required. Do offerors need to provide a Bid Bond for the Seed Project?
If so, will it be located in Tab 1 or 2 in Volume IV?
Answer: Yes. A bid guarantee is required pursuant to FAR Part 28. A “bid guarantee” is sometimes referred to as an “offer guarantee” or “bid bond.” Bonding must be submitted under Volume 1, please see L-3.2 of Amend 0001_WMATOC Solicitation RFP.
2. For Bid Item 05 Furniture Disposal Work, can you please provide a list of furnishings that will need to be disposed? During the site visit the PM was unsure of what was going to be disposed of and they would not permit any photos. It is very difficult to put a price together without knowing the overall scope of this bid line item.
Answer: Please see section 2.3 of the SOW for details on furniture disposal work. Attachment
7.12 Furniture List is also included with the SOW.
3. In the SOW OIG Space document, under section 2.2.3. Tenant Improvement, 2.2.3.2.
Openings, 2.2.3.2.1. Install new Glass entrance door matching the existing glass door and automatic closer.
A. During the site walk it was mentioned that we are to relocate the existing assembly to this new location by the conference room. Please advise if we are to provide a new Glass entrance door assembly with a new automatic closer or only relocate the existing unit, as is, to this new location.
Answer: SOW Section 2.2.3.2.1 calls for a new entrance door.
B. Under openings, 2.2.3.2.1. and Attachment 7_4 Exhibit 4 - OIG Intent Drawing, there is no instructions or notes related to the existing Glass entrance door assembly. Please advise what work and requirements are for this existing Glass entrance door assembly.
Answer: Refer to SOW 2.2.3.2.1- Install new Glass entrance door matching the existing glass door and automatic closer.
4. In the SOW OIG Space document, under section 2.2.3. Tenant Improvement, 2.2.2.3.1.
New demising wall shall be floor to slab. Sound transmission levels for wall shall comply with the standard private office sound levels.
A. What is the GSA standard private office walls assembly / STC rating for a standard private office sound level?
Answer: Refer to GSA P-100 FACILITIES STANDARDS
B. On Attachment 7_4 Exhibit 4 - OIG Intent Drawing, Shows Wall 1, starting from the exterior wall though the area to the corridor wall. Is this the only wall(s) in the work area that is required to be modified as a new demising wall?
Answer: Correct. There are no other demising walls for this project.
5. Please provide site walk sign in sheet.
Answer: The site walk sign in sheet was provided in Amendment 2 and is titled, “Seed Project Site Visit 2023 07 13”.
6. Attachment 7_4 Exhibit 4 - OIG Intent Drawing There is a note pointing to the existing IT room,it states “Discuss the Open Wall”. Please advise the intent of the note.
Answer: The intent of the note is to ensure that the Contractor (awardee) has a discussion with the COR regarding protection of the IT equipment during construction from dust, debris and accidental damage.
7. Please confirm GSA will label and disconnect and reconnect the wiring and cabling at the IT rack. Contractor will relocate the IT rack into the new IT room and pull wiring and cables into the new IT room. Please Advise.
Answer: See SOW Section 2.2.2.10.
8. Can the Government please confirm that the seed project does not require a permit for the alteration of the building from the City of Seattle?
Answer: City of Seattle permits are not required.
9. Volume 1, Tab 1-2 states that the offeror shall include a listing of all subcontractors to include UIE. Can the Government confirm that this is a typo and the Government is asking for the UEI number instead?
Answer: Correct, please include UEI.
