About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document for a BIE Tenant Fit Up RFI (Request for Information) related to an office suite remodel project at the Bismarck Federal Building. The document clarifies that work will only be performed in offices 365, 358, and 360, with specific requirements for lead paint removal, drywall repair, and painting.
Key details include: contractors must provide their own dumpsters but GSA will identify placement location; contractors are responsible for moving GSA furniture; only loose/peeling lead paint needs to be removed rather than full abatement; GSA will provide a lead report; drywall must be finished to Level 4 with orange peel texture; existing baseboards should be kept and repainted; and the hallway side of doors do not require painting but door frames must be painted up to the threshold. The project involves removing a tack board between offices 360 and 358 and painting both sides of that door and trim. No contractor parking is provided on site.
