Fox Street Garage Interior Playground Equipment
Fox Street Garage Interior Pressure Washing: The Fox Street Garage is an open garage with the only smoke detectors located in the enclosed elevator lobbies on each floor. The elevator stairwell lobby located on the southwest side of the parking facility on floors 1-7 does not need to be cleaned, but does need to be included in pressure washing when done inside the garage.
Contractors need to make certain the dust and debris does not blow into any of the enclosed lobby areas on each floor (1-7). Dust and/or debris will activate the fire alarm system by triggering the smoke device(s). The garage does not have an exhaust fan system on floors 2-7.
There's an exhaust fan on the ground level and GSA could have their O&M contractor have it run over the scheduled time of cleaning. The garage does have a full suppression and sprinkler system on the ground level and a water curtain suppression and sprinkler system wall on the upper levels (East side). As long as contractors are not parking their Hotsy or equivalent pressure washing machine directly under the sprinkler heads, the fire system should not be impacted. It is recommended that contractors or subcontractors do not park on the ground level.
Their hose should reach from the level above to pressure wash the ground level. Previous times contractors had the garage pressure washed the system was not taken offline. After hours and the weekend there will be a few tenants accessing the garage; however, the traffic is usually minimal.
In the event, a contractor would like to take the fire alarm system offline, as an added precaution, it could result in a charge to the contractor and could be coordinated directly through GSA’s O&M contractor including the designated GSA Building Manager.
The contractor shall submit a pressure washing plan and schedule to the designated GSA COR and GSA Building Manager for approval and prior to beginning any pressure washing activities.
Typically, pressure washing is needed semiannually or as needed to clean the exterior of both buildings up to the height specified in the performance work statement (eight feet) to get rid of dirt spider etc.

Miscellaneous - Storm water drainage control is very important on this site.
● Water is accessed through a drainage ditch on the east side of the property, flow is controlled by the Anderson Ditch Company.
● An Irrigation pump draws from the ditch and is the primary source for distributing water on the site.
● There are multiple Swales and drainage areas on the perimeter of the property that are important to keep clear of overgrowth of wild trees, and bushes etc.
