RFI from MASE, Solicitation No: 47PH0519R0021

Project title:

Replacing Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Equipment and Venting in and around the U.S. Custom House, Marble Hall, Building LA0033ZZ, 423 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Location: Custom House, Marble Hall, Building LA0033ZZ, 423 Canal Street, New Orleans, LA 70130

Questions to RFI:

1. In the section of representation and certification is our FAR Report enough for this section?

2. In drawing D0.02 there are notes that refers to the following:

(Remove iron grilles to allow for installation of acoustical finish system and save for reinstallation.

Do not damage adjacent finishes.)

But in page G1.01 refers in work restriction notes.

I understand that in the meeting of the site visit we were indicated that there are no designated spaces/storage areas for materials and equipment in the building. In the case of the buildings historic material, can we also store in the warehouse/ storage that we are going to use, or this type of material (historic) you will provide a designated area?

4. Confirm that the existent louvers would be replaced and disposed with a new one?

5. In drawing from pg.17 (A0.06) on the west side it indicates 2 new exhaust fans and also it indicates (description) that the same are supply fans , please clarify the description of these fans?

7. The temperature sensor pg.28 M201 Note: 9, it indicates, the following: Install temperature sensor associated with AHU-2-6 and AHU-2-7 in the vertical return air ductwork, piping, and other items, and relocate as required.

Can this the temp sensor could be located closer to the AHU’s. We’re assuming that this sensor should be connected closer to the BAS system?

8. In the case of moving the material inside the building, which elevators, stairs and corridors would be used/ available for executing the tasks?

No, Representation and Certification are required.
