Amendment 02 – Government Responses Q&A
47PG0120R0008, Amend 02
QUESTION 1: What information is required in section M.9 that says contract number?
This is on the survey that goes out to references. Do we put our contract number in that or is that a number between our company and the reference?
ANSWER 1: All government contracts have a contract number. Please use the contract number on form M.9. If the contract/agreement is not a government contract, please use whatever unique identifier that is used by your company.
QUESTION 2: Is there a site visit for this project? If so, when is the site visit?
ANSWER 2: See Section L for information regarding the site visit information.
QUESTION 3: What is the name of the current contractor and the current contract amount?
ANSWER 3: The current contractor is Ideal Landscaping. The current contract amount is approximately $1,050,124.00.
QUESTION 4: Has the scope of work, under the new solicitation remained the same, decreased or increased compared to the current Solicitation contract?
ANSWER 4: Please see solicitation for contract requirements.
FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY: The scope of work has the following minimal changes: Reseeding grass will be completed on an as needed basis for areas that are less than 1,000 square feet and are patchy/dying/worn out. In the fall, leaves shall be picked up ...including all exterior basement stairwells and below grade pits at all locations. There is also a chart of deliverables added to the new contract. It is up to the contractor to fully read the solicitation to determine any changes.
QUESTION 5: Has the acreage increase or decrease, if so, how much?
ANSWER 5: Acreage on properties have remained the same. It is up to the contractor to conduct their own field measurements for verification.
QUESTION 6: Can you provide us historical quantities requested for mulch? - potential bulk purchase can be done for a lower cost.
ANSWER 6: FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY: Historical quantities of mulch ordered were as follows: Goodfellow Complex: 300 cubic yards; Prevedel Federal Building: 80 cubic yards; Sammy Davis Building 25 cubic yards.
QUESTION 7: Will there be an extension for the due date of this solicitation?
ANSWER 7: No.
QUESTION 8: Regarding the PPQ, is there a reason it is due so for in advance compared to the proposal? Would the government reconsider to more to a date closer to the submission date?
ANSWER 8: Please see amendment 01 of the solicitation.
QUESTION 9: Should the contractor limit the number of decimal places used for price considering the potential affect when small prices are used in a calculation? If so to how many decimal places should the contractor use for price?

ANSWER 9: Pricing shall be to the second decimal place (e.g. $10.12).
QUESTION 10: Is the contractor supposed to fill out SF 1449 Item CLINS?
ANSWER 10: Offerors shall complete section B.3 Bid Sheet for CLIN pricing. Offeror shall complete SF 1449 with company information (Block 17a) and Block 30.
QUESTION 11: In case of Joint venture, do both the partners need to submit the past performance reference.
ANSWER 11: See Section L.2 for Past Performance Survey requirements and Section L.7 Notice to Joint Ventures.
QUESTION 12: Which document will determine the total bid price? B.3 Bid Sheet or the excel document called J.4 REA Proposal Template.
ANSWER 12: See Section M.3, total evaluated price; this uses the B.3 Bid Sheet. The J.4 REA Proposal Template is used for the execution of options or other requests for equitable adjustment after contract award.
QUESTION 13: Will CLINs 0001-0006 be considered the lump sum portion of the bid, since CLINs 0007-0042 is IDIQ work? -this is just clarifying how the lump sum of the bid will be calculated for Base and all option years.
ANSWER 13: See M.3 for how pricing will be evaluated for award.
