Answered in Q23 previous RFI. Bid based off of previous response - to provide a turnkey system.
Due to distance between terminals, cameras at Terminal 1, 2, and 3 will be connected to the DVR at the headend room in Terminal 3. All cameras at Terminal 4 will be connected to the DVR at Terminal 4. There will be 2 separate CCTV systems in this project.
15 SOW Sec. 7.1.1.
“TSA shall provide the physical security COTS and HSPD-12 PACS network backbone infrastructure for these systems to traverse for network connectivity.
All associated TSA LAN configuration, programming and network backbone components to include; TSA E-PACS computers, TSA servers, and TSA workstations, TSA network switches, TSA routers, shall be fully the responsibility of TSA to provide and maintain by the Government.” -- Please clarify
The Contractor will install the security systems as standalone systems and will not be connected to the TSA network. This portion will be completed by TSA at a later time.
This only applies once TSA goes Enterprise nationwide. For this project, all security systems will be standalone and localized and will not be connected to any network.
Please clarify the expectation of the awarded contractor with regards to network backbone. The way the answer to these questions read, you’re looking for us to provide network switches on a stand-alone network. The way the specification is written, the TSA is to provide all network, backbone and configuration.
These systems are to be installed as standalone systems. Network configurations and connectivity will not apply for this project. Security Vendor will provide all necessary equipment to ensure the systems work a standalone systems and will be maintained by local TSA.
