About this file

This is a Questions and Answers document from a federal contract solicitation addressing quality assurance requirements for an oscillator procurement.

The document clarifies the manufacturer's obligations regarding ISO 9001 compliance as specified in the Technical Specifications section F) Quality Assurance Requirements. The requirement states that the delivered oscillator must comply with the ISO 9001 quality system model and US FDA laser product requirements. In response to a bidder inquiry about the form of confirmation needed, the government specified that the manufacturer must be ISO 9001 certified and must submit a copy of the manufacturer's current ISO 9001 certification as evidence of compliance. This certification serves as the required documentation to demonstrate that the delivered equipment meets the ISO 9001 standard requirements.

Question Answer From the Technical Specifications:

F) Quality Assurance Requirements

4. The delivered oscillator shall comply with the ISO 9001 quality system model, as well as US FDA laser product requirements.

What form would you like us to provide our confirmation that the delivered equipment meets the requirements of the ISO 9001 standard?

ISO 9001 is a quality management system certification. Based on this requirement, we are requesting that the manufacturer be ISO 9001 certified. As evidence of compliance, we would need a copy of the manufacturer's current ISO 9001 certification.
