About this file

This document is a Questions and Answers (Q&A) addendum for Request for Proposal 474299 regarding the DUNE FD-VD CRP Patch Panel IO-1889-1B PCB Assembly, dated February 12, 2026. The Q&A addresses eight clarifications submitted by potential offerors, with a note that the original question submission deadline was February 11, 2026, and no further questions are accepted after that date.

Key technical clarifications include: leaded solder (not ROHS) will be used; boards are not panelized; Samtec ASP-223333-01 connector datasheets and Gerber files for IO-1889-1B are available in the RFQ attachments; a Certificate of Quality Compliance must be provided but cannot be an AS-9102 report; the Bill of Materials has been corrected to reflect proper reference designations (P1A-P6A instead of P1-P6) for Molex 757540126 components in an updated exhibit; resistors shown on drawings but not listed in the BOM are designated as DNI (Do Not Install) parts and are excluded from the BOM; and BNL (Brookhaven National Laboratory) will perform first article testing on the initial batch of 20 pieces in Phase 1 rather than the supplier conducting this testing.

474299 Request for Proposal: DUNE FD-VD CRP Patch Panel IO-1889-1B PCB Assembly

Questions and Answers 02/12/2026

*NOTE BSA has provided responses to the submitted questions to the best of our understanding and based on the information available at this time. Due to time constraints, new questions are not accepted past the original question due date of 02/11/2026

1. Q: Are we using leaded or ROHS solder?

A: Leaded solder.

2. Q: Are the boards panelized?

A: No.

3. Q: Can we get the datasheet for the Samtec ASP-223333-01 connector?

A: Please refer to RFQ Attachment/Links section for Attachment “Q&A-Samtec ASP- 223333-01 Connector”

4. Q: Certificate of quality compliance must be provided. Can this be the AS-9102 report?

A: No.

5. Q: Can you also send the Gerber files for IO-1889-1B?

A: Please refer to RFQ Attachment/Links section for Attachment “Q&A-Gerber files for IO-1889-1B”

6. Q: Molex 757540126 should be locations P1A-P6A according to the drawing. BOM shows REF DES is P1-P6.

A: Please refer to RFQ Attachment/Link Section for updated Bill of Materials entitled “Q&A-CORRECTED Exhibit C-Bill of Materials (BOM) IO-1889-1B”

7. Q: There are resistors on the drawing that are not called out on the BOM. Are they DNI (Do No Install)?

A: Right. Sometimes when we quote, the assembly house even takes DNI parts into account, that's why we remove DNI parts in the BOM.

8. Q: Will BNL be performing first article testing of the populated PCB, or will first article testing be the responsibility of the supplier?

A: BNL will do the test of the first batch of 20 pieces in phase 1 order.
