About this file

The document is a Construction Bid Addendum No. 1 issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management, and Budget (DTMB) for the Lakeland Correctional Facility Statewide Perimeter Repair/Replacement project. The addendum, dated 8/8/2025, modifies the original bidding documents for a fencing enhancement project, with the bid opening date set for 8/20/2025. Key modifications include updating the bid due date, revising fence-related specifications on Sheet C-100, such as removing and replacing corner posts, installing new post caps, cutting tension wire on razor ribbon, and removing fence over the administration building. Additional clarifications cover gate hardware materials and insurance requirements.

The project is being managed by Matrix Consulting Engineers, Inc., with Jared Gavin-Helfrich as the Project Director. The addendum provides detailed fencing key notes, including installing new anti-climb razor mesh panels, removing existing damaged fence components, reinforcing leaning fence sections, and making specific repairs and enhancements. The site plan (Sheet C-100) shows the comprehensive fencing modifications around the correctional facility. A meeting attendance record from 7/29/2025 indicates that representatives from Matrix, Nationwide, and MDOC-LCC were present at the project briefing, suggesting collaborative planning and potential multi-agency involvement in the facility improvement project.
