About this file

This is a Salient Characteristics Sheet for a federal procurement requirement issued by the Department of the Air Force Headquarters District Washington (Solicitation Number FA286026Q4022). The Government seeks to procure 11 TruLink Portable Transceivers (TPT), Part Number 780-1000-001-CF0095-M28, to support aeromedical evacuation mission execution and training for the 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AES). This is a brand-name requirement with no substitute products acceptable.

The TruLink Portable Transceiver is a compact, black, rectangular wireless communication device measuring approximately 6.1 inches in length, 2.9 inches in width, and 1.9 inches in depth, weighing 11 ounces with approximately 8 hours of operating time. The device provides full-duplex, wireless, handsfree communication at ranges up to 2,500 feet and features adaptive noise-cancellation technology, a U174 headset interface, push-to-talk and mode control buttons, and ruggedized construction suitable for aeromedical evacuation operations. The system supports up to 100 channels and communication among up to 31 users simultaneously. The TPT functions as a portable wireless extension of the aircraft's existing intercommunication system, enabling seamless crew coordination in high-noise aircraft environments while Flight Nurses and Aeromedical Evacuation Technicians perform patient care and inflight coordination tasks. Contractors should coordinate with Major Bagley (240-857-7122, deanna.bagley@us.af.mil) or Mrs. Sefrin (240-857-1970, priscilla.sefrin.1@us.af.mil) for initial item issue. No special qualifications or certifications are required for this device.

Salient Characteristics Sheet

Describe the requested item(s) in salient terms:

Physical characteristics = 11 AWIS PART SKU 780-1000-001-CF0095-M28 - The TruLink Portable Transceiver (TPT) is a compact, black, rectangular wireless communication device equipped with individual control buttons for user operability. The unit measures approximately 6.1 inches in length, 2.9 inches in width, and 1.9 inches in depth, with a weight of 11 ounces. It provides an operating time of approximately 8 hours and supports wireless communication at ranges up to 2,500 feet. The device includes adaptive noise‑cancellation technology, a U‑174 headset interface, Push‑to‑Talk and mode control buttons, and ruggedized construction suitable for vibration, dust, moisture, and temperature variations encountered during aeromedical evacuation operations Essential Characteristics = The 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron (AES) has a requirement for TruLink Portable Transceivers (TPT) to support aeromedical evacuation missions and training. These devices provide wireless, full‑duplex communication capability for aeromedical crews operating in high‑noise aircraft environments. Issuing these transceivers to 459th AES Flight Nurses and Aeromedical Evacuation Technicians ensure they can maintain clear, hands‑free communication while performing patient care, equipment management, and in‑flight coordination tasks. The TPT functions as a portable wireless extension of the aircraft’s existing intercommunication system, enabling seamless communication between aeromedical crews and flight deck personnel. The system supports up to 100 channels and allows communication among up to 31 users, ensuring uninterrupted coordination during routine missions, large‑scale deployments, or contingency operations. Reliable communication is essential to patient safety, crew coordination, and mission effectiveness, and the TPT is used on every AES mission to maintain real‑time communication across the entire crew.

Functions to be performed = The Government intends for the requested TruLink Wireless Intercommunication System to provide clear, hands‑free, full‑duplex communication for 459th Aeromedical Evacuation Squadron personnel operating inside high‑noise aircraft. The system functions as a wireless intercom that allows crew members to talk and listen simultaneously while moving throughout the aircraft, ensuring continuous coordination during patient care and mission tasks. Its Adaptive Noise Cancellation technology enables clear voice transmission despite aircraft engine noise and vibration, and its rugged design ensures reliable performance in demanding operational environments.

Point of Contact: The contractor shall coordinate with Major Bagley or Mrs. Sefrin for initial issue of items. They can be contacted respectively by phone at 240-857-7122 and 240-857-1970 or via email at deanna.bagley@us.af.mil or priscilla.sefrin.1@us.af.mil.
