About this file
This is a comprehensive project specification document for the North Area EV Charging Infrastructure - Phase 1 project issued by the County of Sacramento's Department of Waste Management and Recycling. The project involves demolition of existing site elements, installation of electrical and data infrastructure, and deployment of electric vehicle charging stations. Specifically, the work includes removing existing bollards, steel posts, and curb paint; performing trenching and installation of new electrical and data conduits and pullboxes; and furnishing and installing three Level 3 electric vehicle charging stations. The contract number is 4574, with a projected completion time of 160 calendar days. The project will be bid electronically through the county's eProcurement system, with bidders required to submit all materials electronically by the date specified in the Notice to Bidders.
The project has a total estimated value that will be determined through the competitive bidding process, with funding likely coming from the County of Sacramento's infrastructure budget. Bidders must comply with several technical specifications, including using Terra 54 and Terra 124 electric vehicle charging stations, installing specific electrical and data infrastructure, and meeting grounding and identification requirements. The project includes comprehensive technical specifications covering electrical systems, communications infrastructure, conduit installation, and equipment mounting. Notably, at least one electrician on each work crew must hold an Electric Vehicle Infrastructure Training Program (EVITP) certification. Liquidated damages are set at $500 per calendar day for delays beyond the established contract completion date.
