About this file

This document is a Packaging Requirements specification (AFMC Form 158) for federal contract purchase instrument FD20302600280-00, Version 3, issued by the 406 Supply Chain Management Squadron (SCMS) under the organization symbol GULAA.

The specification establishes mandatory packaging and marking standards for three line items (2840016028421NZ, 2840DTH26002D, and 2840DTH26002E) requiring compliance with MIL-STD-129 Revision R and MIL-STD-2073-1 Revision E. A primary requirement addresses United Nations-implemented restrictions on wood packaging material (WPM), including wood pallets, skids, load boards, crates, and dunnage. All wood packaging must be constructed from debarked wood and heat-treated to 56 degrees Celsius (133 degrees Fahrenheit) for 30 minutes, with certification/marking by an agency accredited by the American Lumber Standards Committee (ALSC), referencing ISPM No. 15. Items shall be packaged under MIL Long Line Packaging at Preservation Level MIL and Packaging Level B, with unit pack dimensions of 34.6 x 34.6 x 3.8 inches and a cube of 2.632. Shipping containers must be marked per MIL-STD-129 with additional requirements for unit serial numbers, original equipment manufacturer names, or OEM model numbers as specified. The packaging specialist Richard R. Davis (405-371-9037 / 582-5972) approved this specification on 30 January 2026.
