About this file

This document is a Supplement to AFLC Form 761/762 for an aircraft door with National Stock Number 1560-00-731-0538FL and Part Number 5-88198-25. The form outlines detailed qualification requirements for manufacturers seeking to produce this critical component, with specific emphasis on two primary qualification scenarios: (a) only original manufacturers who completed initial testing can be approved, or (b) original manufacturers plus those who have completed testing on similar items determined by the government to be equivalent in complexity and criticality. The document covers qualification requirements both before and after 19 October 1984, stipulating that prequalification of sources is essential to maintain high quality and maximum operational safety, with specific references to MQR-848 for 761s and RQR-848 for 762s governing the qualification process.
