The solicitation is for the procurement of various radioactive sources, with 11 separate line items for different configurations. The sources must meet detailed technical specifications outlined in attached Ordering Data Sheets, including nuclide mixture, activity levels, and certification requirements. The solicitation is set aside for small businesses under NAICS code 334511, with a size standard of 500 employees. Offers are due by 2:00 pm PST on September 19, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose offer is most advantageous to the government, with technical capability and price being approximately equal factors. Payment will be made through the Wide Area Workflow system, and the government inspection period is 7 days. The sources will be delivered FOB Destination to Bremerton, Washington.

ORDERING DATA SHEET – GENERAL

NOUN NAME: RADIOACTIVE SOURCE

DESCRIPTION:

1 ea Nine nuclide gamma calibration source with radioactivity deposited onto glass fiber filter with 47 mm OD and 41 mm diameter active area encapsulated between two layers of Kapton.

-Nuclide mixture: Cd-109, Co-57, Te-123m, Cr-51, Sn 113, Sr-85, Cs-137, Y-88, Co-60 with nuclide activity ratios selected to provide similar count rates on typical coaxial high-purity germanium detectors.

-Active diameter: 41 mm

-Total source activity shall be 3.0 microcuries (–15%, +0%)

-The vendor must insure that the source activity is not greater than exempt quantity per 10 CFR 30.

-The reported radioactivity uncertainty of each nuclide shall not exceed ± 5% at the 99% confidence level.

-Surface contamination levels on the source and packing materials must be less than 450 pCi/100cm^2.

MATERIAL: N/A

MANUFACTURER/VENDOR P/N: N/A

QUANTITY: 1 each
