About this file

This document is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a federal contract opportunity related to the procurement of multiple radioactive sources. The solicitation, numbered N4523A-24-Q-4072, is issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command as a 100% small business set-aside with a NAICS code of 334511 and a small business size standard of 500 employees.

The contract will require the vendor to provide 11 separate radioactive sources, each with detailed specifications outlined in separate Ordering Data Sheets. Key requirements include the sources meeting NIST traceability, specific nuclide activities, activity uncertainties, and surface contamination levels. Offers are due by 2:00 pm PST on September 19, 2024, and the contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose proposal is most advantageous to the government, with technical capability approximately equal to price. Payment will be made through the Wide Area Workflow system, and the government inspection period is 7 days. The contract includes various FAR and DFARS clauses applicable to commercial item procurements.
