About this file
This is Addendum No. 3 to the bid documents for a roofing and window wind mitigation project at Delgado Community College's Westbank Campus in New Orleans, Louisiana, issued on September 10, 2026. The addendum provides critical clarifications to the original specifications for membrane roofing and window replacement in Building 1 and metal roofing and window replacement in Building 2 at 2600 General Meyer Avenue. Key clarifications include the deletion of carpet squares from the scope of work, confirmation that no unit prices apply to the project, clarification that the General Contractor is responsible for providing informational submittals and removing/moving/storing items within the buildings, and confirmation that fabricators and installers must be AISC certified. The addendum specifies that tapered ISO insulation shall be 3/16" per foot, deletes the Kawneer Trifab 451T storefront system from specifications (only IR 521T applies), requires Medium Stile doors with thermal breaks, and directs bidders to follow wind pressure requirements from the Components and Cladding Chart on the structural page rather than those in the specification section.
The addendum further clarifies that glass specifications shall utilize clear glass with Solarban 67 Low E coating on the #2 surface of insulating laminated units as the industry standard, eliminating confusion regarding multiple coating options and tinted glass alternatives. These clarifications supersede conflicting language in the original specifications and are now integral to the contract documents. The addendum was distributed to all plan holders of record via email, ensuring all bidders have consistent information for bid preparation prior to the September 16, 2026 bid deadline.
