About this file
This document is a Sue/Test Pitting Location List for the Commerce St Interceptor Replacement Project, prepared by the Hamilton Township Municipal Authority on 6/25/2025. The document details five test locations for utility location and identification, with each location targeting specific utilities such as water mains, storm pipes, water services, and gas services. Test locations are situated near intersections and addresses on Commerce Street, with test pits conducted on 6/24/2025 and 6/25/2025, involving a total of 6 test pits across different sheet numbers (CI-201 and CI-203).
The test pit results reveal varied outcomes, with some locations successfully locating utilities and others experiencing challenges. Specific findings include utilities at depths ranging from 3' to 6'7" from the surface, predominantly on pavement surfaces. Notable observations include instances where utilities were not found despite test pitting, such as Location 1 and 1A, where refusal occurred at 3'6" and 7' respectively. The document includes detailed notes about utility depths, contractor observations about water and sewer main locations, and discrepancies between marked utility locations and actual findings from the one-call process.
