About this file
This Scope of Work document is for the Bibb County School District in Georgia, detailing a comprehensive canopy upgrade project across multiple school sites. The project involves designing, fabricating, and installing new canopy systems with specifications for various configurations including freestanding, wall-mounted, suspended, and cantilevered designs. Each school's canopy will have unique dimensions matching existing structures, with materials including steel or aluminum, and finishes such as anodized or powder-coated surfaces. The canopies will require specific structural considerations, including integrated gutter systems, appropriate roofing materials with fire ratings, and foundations determined by geotechnical reports.
The project scope encompasses extensive technical requirements including compliance with building codes, material specifications, and rigorous quality control measures. The contractor will be responsible for obtaining necessary permits, scheduling and passing all inspections, providing site safety plans, and ensuring OSHA compliance. Key technical specifications include using certified welders, conducting load testing, and implementing daily site management protocols. While specific pricing details are not provided in the document, the comprehensive technical requirements suggest a complex construction project with significant engineering and safety considerations for the school district's infrastructure improvements.
