About this file
This is Addendum No. 1 to a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) issued by the City of St. George, Utah for a Medical Control Doctor position serving the St. George Fire Department and St. George Consolidated Communications Center. The position requires a qualified professional to provide clinical oversight, develop emergency medical protocols, and ensure standards of pre-hospital care for the community. The addendum amends the original RFQ by establishing an additional mandatory minimum qualification requirement that all candidates must fulfill to be considered for the engagement.
The addendum adds a critical clinical requirement stipulating that candidates must hold and maintain current, active clinical privileges to practice emergency medicine in the emergency department at St. George Regional Hospital throughout the term of any agreement with the City of St. George. This requirement ensures the Medical Control Doctor maintains current, hands-on clinical exposure to acute and emergency patient care, which directly supports the development, oversight, and continuous improvement of prehospital and dispatch-level medical protocols. Candidates must provide documentation of current emergency department privileges as part of their qualifications submission and must promptly update this documentation upon any change in status. All other terms and conditions of the original RFQ remain in full force and effect.
