About this file

This is a Certificate of Compliance Instructions document issued by the Jackson County Auditor's Office Compliance Review Office in Kansas City, Missouri. The document outlines mandatory compliance requirements for all vendors seeking to do business with Jackson County. Vendors are required to obtain a Certificate of Compliance prior to submitting any bid response, with failure to comply resulting in potential bid rejection. The Certificate of Compliance Application must be submitted at least five business days prior to the bid response deadline to allow sufficient processing time, though compliance cannot be guaranteed if this timeline is not met.

The Certificate of Compliance certifies that vendors meet two primary requirements: first, vendors must be duly listed and assessed on Jackson County tax rolls and not be delinquent in tax payments, or alternatively, have no property subject to taxation by Jackson County as of December 31st of the previous year; and second, vendors must attest and agree to Chapter 6 of the Jackson County Code, which prohibits discriminatory practices and promotes Equal Employment Opportunity for contractors conducting business with the county. Vendors can complete the application online through the Jackson County Compliance Review Office website at https://www.jacksongov.org/Government/Departments/Compliance-Review-Office/Certificate-of-Compliance, with questions directed to compliance@jacksongov.org.
