About this file

This document is a Bid Bond Confirmation and Bid Check Return Authorization Form for Harris County, Texas. Bidders must submit their documentation through the Bonfire platform, with cashier's checks physically dropped off at 1111 Fannin, 12th Floor, Houston, TX 77002 before the specified due date.

The form outlines specific procedures for bid check handling, including retention policies for the County Clerk or Purchasing Agent. For bids, the County Clerk may retain checks from the three lowest bidders until contract award, performance bond receipt, and potential payment bond approval. For Request for Proposal (RFP) submissions, the Office of the Purchasing Agent will retain all bid checks under similar conditions. The form authorizes Harris County to return bid checks via regular mail under certain circumstances, such as unsuccessful bidding or contract completion, and requires all checks to be payable to Harris County rather than any individual.
