About this file
This document is a procurement portal instruction set issued by the City of Charlotte Water for vendors participating in their electronic bidding process. The instructions provide detailed guidance for submitting solicitation questions and bid submissions through the Bonfire online procurement portal (https://charlottenc.bonfirehub.com), with specific requirements for electronic submission of documents prior to project deadlines. The City strongly recommends allowing sufficient time for uploading, ideally a week before the deadline, and notes that submission times may vary based on file sizes and internet connection speeds.
The document specifies technical requirements for accessing the portal, including compatible web browsers (Microsoft Edge, Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox) with JavaScript and browser cookies enabled. Vendors are provided support resources including Bonfire's help forum (https://vendorsupport.gobonfire.com/hc/en-us), a support email (Support@GoBonfire.com), and a support phone number (1-800-354-8010). Additionally, a five-minute training video is recommended to help vendors understand the registration and submission process for the Charlotte procurement system.
