Will USPS accept alternate tread pattern that exhibits proven tractive traits similar or greater than that offered by Goodyear?

· Yes, proposals for alternate tread patterns will be accepted.

In a response to a previously asked question, you stated that bead repair was acceptable. While minor abrasion and spot repair is generally acceptable for high-cost bus, medium and heavy duty radial tires, it is usually not performed with smaller diameter, less costly passenger-class radials unless bead repair was meant to imply only cleaning, buffing and minor filling to accommodate an effective air seal. Please clarify if the response was to include bead rubber splicing.

· Bead rubber splicing is not included.

· 100% of USPS tires are tubeless.

Regarding proposal response documents… are the required response documents (eg: Part 3 Provision) available with formats that are PC editable?

· PS Form 8203 (which requires completion of blocks 14, 16 and 27a-c) and the Solicitation (which requires completion of information on pages 6-8) must remain in the current pdf format. Handwritten or typed responses are acceptable.

· Attachment #4 - Pricing Matrix and Attachment #10 - eBuy2 Integration Evaluation Questions are currently in editable excel formats.

Attachment #1 under Marking states that the date stamp should reflect month and year of the retread operation. The Federal DOT and common industry standard is week and year of retread operation. Clarify please.
