About this file

This is an Amendment to Solicitation for RFP No. 378077GMK issued by Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC for construction of new egress doors and egress modifications at the HEERC DUNE Cold Lab. The amendment is dated April 9, 2026, and extends the proposal due date to Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at 3:00 PM Central Standard Time. The original RFP was issued on March 19, 2026.

The amendment makes three substantive changes: it attaches Questions and Answers addressing four clarifications from potential offerors, adds Exhibit U containing existing electrical drawings for the DUNE Cold Lab egress doors, and extends the closing deadline. The Q&A responses clarify that power for three new exit signs should come from panel E-PHP-INV-A1-3 in room G113 with reference to specific drawings; damaged epoxy flooring must be repaired using SikaFloor-264 product or an approved compatible equal; all work will occur during standard business hours with no off-hour requirements; and the north entrance to the HEERC building will remain open except for limited closures of less than one day when coordinated with the FFDG Construction Coordinator. All other terms and conditions of the original RFP remain unchanged. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of this amendment by signing and returning one copy to Gina M. Kern, Procurement Specialist IV, at Fermi Forward Discovery Group, LLC in Batavia, Illinois.

Answer: No, work will be performed during standard business hours.

4. Will the north entrance of HERC be closed while the exterior work is taking place?
