Scope of Work for Design-Build Prepare Digital Radiography Rooms for Fargo, ND Project Number 437-CSI-500
Contractor shall provide Design-Build services to renovate and site prepare 3 rooms for the installation of new Samsung Digital X-Ray Radiography Systems in Fargo, ND.
A. General Design Requirements:
1. The Contractor shall completely survey all existing spaces affected by the renovation. Survey shall include architectural, electrical, mechanical (including medical gases), structural, and low voltage systems. Contractor shall not rely on Samsung equipment drawings to provide existing conditions, but shall verify.
2. The Contractor shall meet with site staff to review details of the equipment drawings and to gather comments after each design submission (SD, DD, CD). The Contractor shall include Facilities Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Imaging, and Samsung in all design meetings. The Contractor shall also plan for a kick-off meeting with Facilities Engineering, Biomed, Imaging, and Samsung to walk the site, pull as-built drawings, more specifically set design requirements and understand the full scope of the project requirements.
3. All equipment shall be removed and disposed of by the construction contractor except for the existing X-ray system that will be removed by Samsung. The VA will not retain any equipment and it shall not be “abandoned in place.”
4. New and modified building automation controls shall be included to ensure all systems are operational.
5. Environmental conditions shall be maintained to other spaces.
6. Phased installation shall be required. The phasing shall be clearly depicted in both the 010000 specification section and the drawing set SOW Appendix 1.
