AMENDMENT-0002, Solicitation 36C78623B0020 Fort Sill Burial Expansion Contractor Questions & GOV Responses

1. On the project plan sheets, there is a discrepancy for the size of the concrete junction box at the start of the dual 36: pipe. Drawing sheet C-201 identifies this box as ST-1-JB-10’X5’ whereas drawing sheet C-403 identifies it as ST-1-JB-12’X5’. Please clarify which is correct.

1. GOV Response: The correct size for ST-1-JB is 12’ x 5’.

2. Note 5 on sheet C-403 references a 6” HDPE Cleanout and detail B1 sheet C-501. All cleanout details reference 4” PVC. Please clarify.

2. GOV Response: The main trunkline on the west side of the crypt field that flows south to north is a 6” non-perforated HDPE pipe. The cleanout riser size is not required to match the diameter of the pipe or material it is connected to, as it is for access only. The riser is to be 4” PVC and will transition to the size and material of the connecting pipe at the wye branch.

3. Project plans show that there are 2,997 standard crypts and 37 oversized crypts. Project Price Schedule calls for 2,999 standard crypts and 35 oversized crypts. Please confirm which is correct.

3. GOV Response: The correct count is 2,997 standard and 47 oversized.

4. Please confirm that no identification sand is to be installed above the crypts.

4. GOV Response: The NCA decided during the design phase to not install the identification sand layer.

5. Will the government allow for the utilization of Quad Crypts where applicable as opposed to all single crypt vaults where standard size are to be placed.

5. GOV Response: Yes, quad crypts are acceptable, but the contractor needs to adjust the layouts to match the plan layout and be able to get the gravel infill between the quad crypts.

6. There are several references to tree protection and/or tree protection barricades but no details or descriptions to describe what is required for this. Please clarify.

6. GOV Response: Contractor shall install the following tree protection where indicated:

· High visibility orange vinyl construction fencing (42” minimum height) around the drip line of the tree to be protected.

· Fencing shall be fixed every 6’ O.C. with metal stakes.
