Questions and Answers:

Q. How many Past Performance Questionnaires are allowed to be submitted?

a. 3 minimum, 5 max.

Q. Please clarify 1 technical. If bidding more than 1, the technical would be different for each requirement.

a. Each offeror is only required to provide one technical no matter how many requirements they are providing an offer for. You only have to provide multiple price schedules if you are bidding for more than one requirement.

Q. On the Sam and Vetbiz Verification, are you wanting just a “screen shot” showing our current registration status or are you looking for something different?

a. You can use a screen shot or any document to validate your status.

Q. The SOW (for Saratoga) states that there a total of approximately 75 ac to be treated under this contract. What is the acreage breakdown of the turf areas to be treated between the 2 cemeteries?

a. A breakdown will be provided as soon as possible.

Q. (Danville) Janitorial – CLIN says bi-weekly and page 68 says bi-weekly cleaning but page 69 says cleaning is daily Monday-Friday. Is this a bi-weekly cleaning requirement (once every 2 weeks) or is this a daily cleaning requirement?

a. The janitorial CLIN needs to be removed for the solicitation. The lodge at Danville has been closed.

Q. (Salisbury) Is the requirement for 2 employees to be onsite at all times that work is being done? Or is this a requirement for 2 full time employees onsite Monday-Friday for 40 hours a week?

a. No, however when an interment is being performed or headstone/marker is to be set there needs to be 2 employees to ensure that these processes are performed to national shrine standards.

Q. (Hampton) 1. Under A.11.2 Power Wash Building and Sidewalks – (c) says that only clean water will be used – no chemicals. We want to be sure that only clean water and no chemical is the desired method for cleaning.

a. no chemicals to be used on building or sidewalk pavers Q. (Hampton) Will there be a storage area available to the contractor? Under use of cemetery facilities (b) it says – “If available”. Will this be available?

a. Limit space is available. Contractor is responsible for maintenance and cleaning of equipment daily to prevent hazardous conditions if storing equipment.

Q. (Cypress Hills) Will space be available for storage of contractor equipment? Under A.8 (g) it says storage may be provided.

a. There is a storage building that they may use part of for their equipment but no gas or fuel storage.

Q. Are there restrooms for contractor use at Cypress Hills?

a. There are no restrooms for contractor use, current contractor rents a porta potty.

Q. (Long Island) Are there restrooms available for contractor use?

a. there is no restroom for contractor use, current contractor rents a porta potty.

Q. (Long Island) Will this be an ongoing requirement during the year(daily work) for the 10,000 sunken graves to be repaired and the 15,000 headstones to be raised and re-aligned with a certain amount done each month for 12 months? Or is this a yearly request to be done during a certain timeframe (example 1-2 month limit) during the year?

a. This contract is performed over the course of 12 months, contractor may not be able to work during winter months due soil conditions (frozen) and seed will not germinate Q. (Indiantown Gap) A.3 Sod Installation – Cemetery personnel may be available to assist the contractor in the installation of sod. How many of the cemetery staff will be available and how likely is the availability to assist the contractor?

a. This should be removed from the SOW. Staff will not be able to assist with this service.
