Solicitation Questions:

1. Within the statement of work in C.8.5-c-1 it states, “ALL sockets are to be re-dug by hand” Then in C.8.5-c-6 it tells us, “sockets to receive headstones shall be dug by hand and/or mechanical devices…” Can we use mechanical devices to dig out the headstone sockets?

Floral vases are varying in number.

3. In the Solicitation, on page 12, Section 3.14, do the signs provided by the contractor need to contain the exact wording sited: “CAUTION: HEADSTONE/TURF RENOVATION!

INQUIRE AT OFFICE.” And the exact size? Or will signs already owned by the contractor with different verbiage be acceptable?

Signs specs are per the solicitation.

4. Are there any drawings or maps of the proposed sections that require irrigation installation so the contractor can know where to run water lines and set sprinkler heads?

Right now, the contractor has no way of knowing exactly where future burials will be placed.

Yes.

7. How many total stones are included in each solicitated section?

Number of headstones is total number in this solicitation.

8. Does the 500,000 square feet of sod include sections D and E?

This solicitation only calls for turf renovations in A, B, C, C1, C2 and M1.

9. Are there any permanent flower vases in sections A, B, C, C1, C2, M1, d, or E?

Floral vases may vary.

10. Are there any specifications for the irrigation system? As far as size of pipes, types of heads, etc.

Irrigation system diagram is already in this solicitation.

11. Is the site visit a mandatory requirement to bid this project?

The site visit was not a mandatory requirement but per the solicitation, it was strongly urged to attend so that cemetery personnel can review the full requirements to the interested vendors for this solicitation. Also in accordance with the solicitation “Offerors shall inspect all sites where services are to be performed and to understand all general and local conditions that may affect the cost of contract performance (See Provision

52.237-1 Site Visit). In no event shall failure to inspect constitute grounds for a claim or request for equitable adjustment after contract award” therefore contractors that did not attend the site visit and still wish to provide a quote for this requirement, be advised, warned, and strongly consider if you truly know the requirements being fully asked of this solicitation.
