Addendum 2 – Medallion Mounting Instruction Sheet

MEDALLION MOUNTING INSTRUCTIONS

For use with Epoxy and Hardware

Epoxy Adhesive (Preferred Method) IMPORTANT: Please read before opening epoxy packets.

Instructions (See pictures below):

1. Fold packets in half.

2. Cut the packet tips.

3. Squeeze epoxy and hardener out of both packets onto a small piece of cardboard. (Not included)

4. Mix both materials thoroughly together utilizing the enclosed wooden stick until the epoxy turns an amber color.

5. Apply a thin film to the back of medallion, spreading the epoxy from the center out to within ¼” of the edges. (Warning: Do not spread out to the edges which will allow the epoxy to seep out when the medallion is pressed into place.)

6. Place the medallion into the pre-determined location and hold in place or clamp.

7. The epoxy has a 2-hour working time which allows plenty of time to set the medallion in place.

8. The epoxy is fully cured at 8-hours and any clamping devices can be removed at that time.

Mounting with Hardware The epoxy and hardware can be utilized together but the hardware requires special equipment. It is highly recommended that this be accomplished by a professional monument company.
