JR-VA COR
4 Engage a professional engineer to survey condition of building to determine whether removing any element might result in structural deficiency or unplanned collapse of any portion of structure or adjacent structures during selective demolition operations”. 6/30/2021: A structural engineer shall be consulted when structural elements are proposed to be altered and provide written guidance. The engineer does not need to present during the modification but must inspect any significant work after completion. JR-VA COR
