About this file

This document is a contract requirement excerpt addressing parts repair and replacement procedures for the Fire Extinguisher & Hood Inspection RFQ issued by the Sioux Falls, SD VA Health Care System (Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration, Veterans Integrated Service Network 23). The file, titled "Para Q.docx," specifies the contractual terms governing repair services and parts procurement for kitchen hood and portable fire extinguisher inspection and maintenance work.

The contractor must furnish all replacement parts or bill of materials necessary to maintain system operability when repairs are identified during inspections. Parts may be repaired or replaced at the contractor's discretion, provided that all repairs are executed through the contract modification process. The contract explicitly prohibits the use of used or gray market parts. For any repairs required, the contractor must submit a written cost estimate to the VA Technical Representative (VATR) and provide either a commercial pricing comparison quote or a quote from another federal agency for similar items to enable fair and reasonable pricing determination. The Contract Officer will issue a bilateral contract modification to adjust funding based on VATR coordination and approval.
