About this file

This is a Special Notice for a sole source, firm-fixed price contract for Controlled Substance Removal issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Network Contracting Office 23. The VA intends to award the contract directly to Stericycle under FAR 13.106-1(b), as Stericycle is determined to be the only vendor capable of meeting all VAMC requirements, including supply purchasing, equipment and visual aid installation, personnel training, and waste removal and disposal.

The contract opportunity is classified under NAICS code 562211 with product service code Q901, and is subject to Small Business Administration subcontracting limitations. Interested vendors may submit capability statements to cameron.rick@va.gov within seven calendar days of the notice, with specific submission requirements including organization details, capability statements, and manufacturer agreements. The response deadline is 03-19-2025 at 12:00pm Central Time, and while this is not a competitive solicitation, the VA will review submissions to potentially reassess the sole source determination.
