About this file
This is a Standard Form 30 Amendment of Solicitation/Modification of Contract issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 21. The amendment, numbered 0001 and effective September 9, 2026, provides questions and answers clarifying requirements for solicitation 36C26126Q1077, originally dated August 28, 2026. The response deadline is September 14, 2026 at 10:00 a.m. PDT, and acknowledgment of this amendment is not extended.
The amendment addresses nine key clarifications regarding a healthcare linen services contract. Initial linen inventory calculations should be based on a maximum census of 58 patients (beds). TRSA Hygienically Clean Healthcare certification is preferred but other healthcare-laundry accreditations are acceptable if TRSA is unavailable. The proposed laundry subcontractor's experience is acceptable in lieu of prime contractor experience. The contractor must provide full initial linen inventory at no separate mobilization charge, and the contractor is responsible for weighing linens at pickup and delivery rather than receiving historical poundage data from the VA. Service quantity estimates range from approximately 185,000 to 190,000 pounds and are estimated amounts. Emergency eight-hour processing will be ordered separately from the base per-pound rate. Asset-tracking technology selection and implementation, including RFID decisions, are the contractor's responsibility since linens are rental items.
