About this file

This document contains an amendment to a solicitation for prescription eyeglass and optician services. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a firm fixed price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract with a base year and four option periods to provide eyeglasses and optician services at VA medical centers in Fresno, Reno, San Francisco, and Northern California as well as their outpatient clinics. The contract will have a total set aside for service-disabled veteran-owned small businesses. The solicitation responses are due approximately 30 days after issuance on or around September 3, 2020. The amendment answers requests for information by clarifying that sample frames cannot be discontinued or Medicaid models, confirming staffing levels are not reduced for COVID, and explaining catalogues/literature rather than physical samples should be included in emailed proposals.
