About this file

This is Amendment 002 to a combined synopsis/solicitation for a Patient Monitoring and Telemetry System at the George E. Wahlen VA Medical Center in Salt Lake City, Utah. The amendment provides clarification on equipment procurement requirements in response to a vendor question submitted after the initial question deadline. The solicitation, issued by the Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO 19) in Greenwood Village, Colorado, seeks quotes for physiological monitoring equipment with a response deadline of July 31, 2026, at 12:00 PM Mountain Time. The contracting officer is Stephanie Cahill (Stephanie.Cahill@va.gov), and quotes must be submitted via email only with a 4MB limit.

The amendment clarifies that all offerors must include new monitors in their quotes regardless of the age of existing equipment currently at the facility. Any existing equipment that can be traded in should be factored into line item #0015 (De-installation and Disposal, including trade-in of Existing Equipment), while all other existing equipment must be de-installed and disposed of by the offeror at no cost to the government. Offerors are required to structure their complete quotes to provide new equipment for all line items in accordance with the requested quantities. The solicitation uses a Product Service Code of 6515 and NAICS Code 334510, with no set-asides indicated. Prior to the amendment deadline, a site visit was offered on July 7, 2026, and a live Q&A session was conducted on July 14, 2026, via Microsoft Teams. The government reserves the right to make an award solely on initial quotes received and may elect to make no award from this solicitation.

DESCRIPTION

The purpose of this amendment (002) is to provide clarification response on a question asked after the deadline that may impact interested vendors’ s final quote offers.

Question: Since the Emergency Department monitors are new as of April – should vendors factor in the existing monitors? Or should offerors plan to provide new monitors regardless of the age of the monitors already onsite at the facility?

Answer: All offerors will need to include new monitors in their quotes. Any equipment currently at the facility that can be factored into line item #0015 (De-installation and Disposal (including trade-in) of Existing Equipment), should be. All other existing equipment that cannot be traded in, the offeror will be expected to de-install and dispose of.
