About this file

This is an attachment showing example images and descriptions of low-flow and high-flow oxygen regulators. The document contains multiple figures demonstrating the visual differences between regulator types, noting that they can be difficult to distinguish by appearance alone. Low-flow regulators are defined as those operating at 0-4 L/min or 0-8 L/min, while high-flow regulators operate at 0-15 L/min or 0-25 L/min.

The attachment includes images of both types in use, with specific labeling callouts to help identify the flow ranges. The document is part of a larger VISN 19 Medical Gases and Cylinders IDIQ solicitation (#36C25925R0019) for the Department of Veterans Affairs. The final section shows pictures of oxygen tanks with built-in regulators, though the document explicitly states that NCPS does not endorse any particular brand.

ATTACHMENT 1: Pictures of low-flow and high-flow oxygen regulators

Below are pictures representative of different low-flow and high-flow oxygen regulators. It can be difficult to distinguish the difference by visualization alone. The end-user will need to read the label on the oxygen regulator to determine if the regulator is defined as low-flow (0-4 L/min or 0-8 L/min) or high-flow (0-15 L/min or 0-25 L/min).

Figure 1B: Low-flow oxygen regulator

0-4 L/MIN or 0-8 L/MIN indicates a low-flow oxygen regulator

Figure 1C: High-flow oxygen regulator

0-15 L/MIN or 0-25 L/MIN indicates a high-flow oxygen regulator
