About this file
This document is a set of vendor questions and responses regarding the First Floor Patient Safety Upgrades project at Building 154. The key details are:
The project requires all work to be performed after hours, including demolition, flooring, painting, specialties, ceiling grid, and HVAC. Hallways are not to be shut down during normal business hours, and the area must be cleaned by the contractor prior to normal business hours. The total corridor area is 3,932 square feet. The VA has confirmed that it is acceptable for the hallways to be used in a safe condition, even if not fully finished (e.g. no handrailing). Regarding the flooring work, the space needs to be fully usable for each working day.
