See below Vendor questions with the VA’s responses in Red.

Vendor’s Question(s)

For the 4 York Chillers (i., ii., iii., iv. On Page 8), would it be possible to add the following wording on the following 3 annual tasks to ensure all bidding parties are meeting the manufacturer specifications:

1- Clean or backflush VSD heat exchanger and strainer-There is no VSD on these chillers, VSDs are on the lower voltage chillers. The 4 York chillers are 4160 volt.

2- Replace VSD starter coolant and ensure proper levels- There is no VSD on these chillers, VSDs are on the lower voltage chillers. The 4 York chillers are 4160 volt.

3- Perform oil analysis on compressor lube oil (“This procedure must be performed at the specified time interval by an Industry Certified Technician who has been trained and qualified to work on this type of YORK equipment”) This will be done annually as stated Page 6 item 4. Oil Analysis.

Also, If the customer will be removing the heads of the 4 chillers for the annual visual tube inspection, can you clarify if the contractor will be able to brush the tubes at that time? This would reduce costs. Currently the scope of work seems to say the customer will remove the chiller head for the visual inspection, however, for the tube brushing the contractor must replace and remove the head. If we are able to do the brushing at the same time as the head removal for the inspection it seems that would be more efficient. (see attached Head removal.pdf) Yes when the head is removed (by the contractor) the tubes are to be brushed (by the contractor).

End of Vendor’s Question(s)

PWS has been adjusted to state that the Head(s) are to be removed by the Contractor.

Various other items of the PWS have also been adjusted, please ensure to re-read and adhere to the attached PWS.
