Wall Penetration information During the Site Survey, questions regarding Wall Penetrations were asked. After reviewing the planned pathway, here are identified penetrations.
1. Hallway to Server Room … sheetrock and then above ceiling of Server Room
2. Partway between Communications Room and Server Room, there is a cinder block wall with expanded metal at top of blocks. Because this is a juncture between two building and one’s ceiling line is 6-feet higher than the other, if the number of cables exceed current conduit space, it will require a penetration through the cinder block wall at a downward 60-degree angle.
The existing conduit is a 4-inch internal pipe approximately half-full of CAT 6 cable. See photo of conduit below (Photos for Penetration #2).
3. Partway between Communications Room and prior to the cinder block wall mentioned above, there are two-each 2- inch conduits with no cables and additional conduits with limited space for additional cables. In the event additional penetrations are required, this should a sheetrock wall.
